I was born in Canada before being raised in and around Liverpool, UK. My creative background is initially in design, and since 2009 I have combined these skills with working as a professional photographer. I am an accredited Associate with the British Institute of Professional Photography, which is run by photographers, for photographers. I have been fortunate to receive the highest awards in the field of Fine Art, along with the prestigious title of Professional Photographer of the Year in 2016. Alongside professional practice and my current academic studies, I have occasionally enjoyed participating in public sector art projects. I believe that experience is enriched by engaging with the different facets of creative life, public and private, commercial and voluntary, art and document.
Since 2010, I have run my own small business called Indigenous, which works with international companies, start-ups and community groups on art projects and commercial design consultancy. I provide commercial photography services for architecture, brand direction and project documentation. My time is split between Europe and Asia, which has a significant influence on my style and subject matter. I am able to reinvest my resources from commissions and assignments into a self-sustaining model of research and development. The resulting projects are a representation of my professional approach to both design and photography which are used in my business identity and showcased in exhibitions.
